Our
standard .3" thick material is a balanced 12-layer quasi-isotropic lay up utilizing 670 fabric
in a 2x2 twill pattern, 12 K tow 670 GSM. One side is textured for easy bonding with an
epoxy or other resin. One side of this panel is completely flat and has a smooth finish while the
other side has thickness variations up to .05".
This material is susceptible
to UV damage if left in direct sunlight for long periods without a UV resistant coating. This material can be cut to any shape
by a variety of methods, many types of saws will do. You can sand, buff, drill, and machine this material,
practically indestructible and very versatile.
Please wear the proper safety equipment when working with
carbon fiber.
